If you had all the money in world what would you do? I asked my grandpa this question about fifteen years ago and the reply i got was rather surprising, i actually thought it was defensive. He replied that “only a lazy person would ask that kind of a question!” Did he just call me lazy? I know i am not lazy. (may be it was a metaphor)Since then, i have pondered over this question countless times, and i always have different answers in my mind. Recently i read the book “Career Renegade” and i had to ask myself the same question again -but this time, i had a mental note- that, money cannot solve all life problems, and sometimes the pursuit of it may lead to misery. So let me ask you!
If Money was not a problem
- Where would you be?
- What car would you drive?
- Would you still work your current job?
- What kind of a house would you live in?
- Where would you shop?
- How would you spend the rest of your life?
- Would still be a Christian?
These are not modern day’s questions. Jesus responded to such with a question in Mathew 16:26
“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?”(NIV)
